INSTEAD OF TRYING TO FEEL PEACEFUL, TRY BEING AT PEACE WITH HOWEVER YOU FEEL
 
As I’ve said many times, Peace is not comfort. Peace is not calm. Peace is simply being able to be with what is, which includes the circumstance, as it is, your sensations, as they are, and your thoughts, as they are.
 

Today, when anything happens that seems upsetting, instead of trying to relax or "be peaceful” see if you can really experience it exactly as it is, inside and out, and leave it at that.

 
And have a SENSATIONAL day.
In Truth, it’s impossible not to.

WE ONLY CALL SOMETHING A "FEELING” WHEN WE’RE AVOIDING A SENSATION
 
The only reason to label something a "feeling” is to try to understand or interpret a sensation. When we can simply be with a sensation, the world of unlimited possibilities opens to us.
 
Today, see if you can experience EVERYTHING that happens as a sensation rather than interpreting those sensations to mean that you’re feeling something. And watch how things resolve.
 
And have a SENSATIONAL day.
In TRUTH, it’s impossible not to.

WHEN YOU FIND YOURSELF SAYING "I’M ANGRY” ASK YOURSELF, "WHAT SENSATION IS UNDER THAT?”
 
 
What we call "feelings” are really thoughts about sensations.
 
Today, whenever you find yourself saying "I’m angry” or "I’m sad” or "I’m jealous” or "I’m ashamed,” ask yourself, "What sensation is under that?” and focus on simply experiencing the sensation rather than on thinking.
 
And have a SENSATIONAL day.
In TRUTH, it’s impossible not to.

CIRCUMSTANCES DON’T STOP YOU – ONLY YOU STOP YOU
 
When we "see” a circumstance before us in the mirror of the world, we experience sensations and we choose thoughts. If we erroneously think the sensations are intolerable, we will choose "protective” thoughts to get away from them. These "protective” thoughts will "ease the pain” but will result in our not having the experience we want. We have the choice of whether to stay with the thought we want to choose and experience the meaningless, harmless sensations that go with it, or run from that sensation with the protective thought.
 
Today, see if you can hold the thought you want to hold no matter what you see before you, and be with the sensations that thought produces. Do NOT involve yourself with the circumstance, as tempted as you are to do so.
 
And have a SENSATIONAL day.
In TRUTH, it’s impossible not to.

Every New Year’s Day people make resolutions, and within a few days or weeks most of them are broken. This is because those resolutions come with uncomfortable sensations and we jump away from those sensations by exchanging the thought of what we want back for a protective thought.
 
This year, practice being with the sensations that come with the thought of something you want. Each day, at least once, or as often as you think of it, simply hold the thought of having something you want and NOTICE and BE WITH the sensations that come with the thought.
 
Don’t concern yourself with how or if you’re going to get the thing. Just ...
